Homemade Fruit Popsicles

Fruit Popsicles

Ingredients

-      1 Kiwi

-      2 Strawberries

-      4 Blackberries

-      15 blueberries

-      Yogurt

-      Honey

-      Orange Juice

Cut Kiwi, Strawberries and blackberries. Put in mixing bowl. Add blueberries, ½ cup oj, 1 container of vanilla yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey.  

Mix and put in popsicle mold, freeze and enjoy!

Freeze Bread, Lime Juice and Herbs

Bread 

I have just discovered the wonderful world of freezing! There are only two people in our household so many times if we buy a loaf of bread or have hamburgers or hotdogs, we have leftover bread. Next time you only need two hamburger buns, freeze the rest. Simply but the bread in a freezer bag. I would say it is good up to a couple of months

Fresh Lime Juice
I bought big bag of limes from Costco for our Cinco de Mayo party. We had a lot leftover that I did not want to go to waste. I squeezed the juice out of each lime, put the juice in the ice cube tray and put in the freezer. After the juice froze I put the cubes into a freezer bag and put back into the freezer. 

Herb/Cilantro
Usually when you buy a bundle of cilantro you do not use it all. To save the cilantro for future use simply take of the leaf part of the cilantro and put into an ice cube tray. Then fill the ice cube tray with water and put into the freezer. Once it is frozen, take out of the tray and then put into a freezer bag. 

Back up your photos from your Phone with Dropbox

I use my camera on my android all the time! I recently had my SD card fail, which I didn't even know could happen. That meant all of my photos on my SD card for the past 2 years were gone forever or so I thought. I was so upset until my husband reminded me I uploaded my photos to an app called Dropbox. I checked my dropbox account and thank goodness all of my photos were there. I was so thankful the photos were saved! 

You can also access dropbox on your computer. Dropbox is free and you start out with 3GB. You can earn more space by making referrals, connecting with Facebook, taking tour of dropbox, installing dropbox on your computer and by sharing folders.

30th Wedding Anniversary Party!

My parents just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. My cousin, sister and myself threw them a surprise party at a local restaurant/brewery. Here are some decoration ideas we did:

1. Chalkboard frame with a timeline of special events in their marriage

2. Chalkboard wine bottle with "30" written on it. At the party guest wrote a special message on the bottle for my parents to keep 

3. For pictures I used a picture frame that I again spray painted with chalkboard paint and wrote "30" on it.

4. Gift Favors: I had DippStixxSweetShop make Oreo Pops for gift favors. They were delicious. I also made chocolate molds as additional gift favors.

5. My cousin Kristin made a beautiful cake with With Wine Shaped Cake Top with Wedding Picture of my parents. It was perfect for our wine themed party.

Reuse Glass Jars

Making a homemade pizza? Save the pizza sauce jar and reuse!

Simply take off the label and scrub off the glue. I use goo gone to get the sticky glue off of the jar.

Next I used chalk spray paint to paint the lid.

I am using my jar for some chamomile tea bags. I wrote with chalk on the top to remember what is inside!

Here is another way I used my glass jar! I used it for those delicious Cadbury mini eggs. I spray painted the lid a light blue for easter and filled them with the Easter Cadbury mini eggs. 

Why I love Ebates!

Besides getting cash back for making purchases through ebates you can also get coupon codes! For instance I was recently booking a hotel for our Denver trip and of course went through the ebates site to get my cash back. I found my hotel through hotels.com. When I went through ebates it gave me a 10% off coupon code for my hotels.com reservation!

*Ebates gives me a percentage of my purchase for going through their site. For example if I buy a $50 item at Target and go through Ebates with a 2% cash back I will get $1. A dollar may not seem like a lot but it adds up especially if you buy a high dollar item. Ebates pays you about twice a year by check or through Paypal. You receive your payment faster through Paypal. I have been paid $173 since I have joined. I also got a $10 gift card to Home Depot when I first signed up for Ebates after a $25 qualifying purcahse This brings my total to $183 that ebates has paid me for using their site. DIY Coaster

DIY Coaster

This project is easy and cheap! 

Materials: 

 Lowes: Almond Agora tiles

Letter Stencil

Black Acrylic Paint

PaintBrush

Protect Your floor Felt stickers

1. Put four felt stickers on the bottom of each tile. 

2. Place the stencil on the location you want and paint in with the black acrylic paint. 

You can make your coaster as fancy or simple as you would like. I like the letter initials so each member of our household has their own coaster! 

3. Wrap a ribbon around the coaster and give them as a present. Or you can always keep them for yourself! :)

DIY Picture Frame Earring Holder

I used an old frame of mine. I took out the back and glass. I sprayed white spray paint on the frame. I left some of the brown show through to give it a distressed look. Next I put a lace ribbon across the back of picture frame. I stapled the ribbon on the frame. Last place your favorite earnings on the ribbon and that is it!

Wooden Letter Intial

Twine

Ribbon

Felt Flowers

Hot Glue Gun

1. Wrap Twine around initial, hot glue twine as you go to make sure it sticks.

2. Make a bow and hot glue it on the corner and hot glue the felt flower underneath the bow

3. Hot glue the ribbon to the back of the letter to hang it

4. Hang it on your front door!

Freezer Protein Bar & Peanut Butter Fudge

I made several Freezer Friendly foods this weekends. I would definitely recommend these two recipes they were so yummy! Thanks Money Saving Mom blog!

I love the protein bar and it was way cheaper than buying the individual protein bars at the grocery store.

A couple of the ingredients were the same so I made them at the same time while I had everything out :)

The Protein bars ingredients are banana, oatmeal, flax seed, protein powder, peanut butter, coconut, coconut oil, raisins and dark chocolate. For the recipe go here!

The Peanut Butter Fudge ingredients are peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup, dark chocolate, and sea salt. For the recipe go here!

I actually ate both right out of the freezer, I let the protein bar sit for a little bit. I enjoyed both cold.
